Hebrews 10:19-25

19: Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
20: by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,
21: and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
22: let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
23: Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;
24: and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,
25: not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Because of all that Jesus has done in sacrificing Himself for us, we can confidently enter the holy place—the place where we encounter the Father. Since we have such a great priest as this, let’s do it—let’s draw near to the holy place of God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith. Our heart, conscience, and body being washed clean.

Every believer in Christ now has access to God themselves and may enter into His presence through Christ who has made the way for us through the veil of His flesh. He made the way. He is the way, and He sanctifies all those who enter through this way. We can confidently draw near to God and not hold back in fear, shame, or guilt. We can hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering--the hope which is yet to come, our full redemption at Christ’s return.

Even though this is an individual faith, and each person encounters the Lord himself, we need to consider how we can inspire and encourage others to love and good deeds. We’re not to isolate ourselves from other believers, as some are inclined to do, but encourage each other to remain faithful and not be drawn away by sin (Hebrews 3:12-14). Especially as we see the day of Jesus’ return approaching.

There is strength when we gather in the unity of our faith. Jesus said where two or three are gathered in His name He is in the midst (Matthew 18:20). In our gatherings there is strength in prayer, in decrees in the Lord’s name, in revelation, in understanding of the Scripture, and in the gifts of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 18:18-19, Mark 16:17-18, James 5:13-16, 1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 5:18-21, 1 Corinthians 14:26). May we live our Christian life unashamedly, while encouraging each other to do the same. His presence will remain with us both individually and corporately.
